This Bass Combo is the bomb! For a few years I have been looking for a great sounding combo amp. Well, I think I've found it with this peavey. The main thing I like about it is that it has fully programable effects and settings so all you have to do is set the amp the way you like it, Store your setting and dial it up with a simple turn of the knob when your ready. Also it has enough power to cut through a large size gig with a Drummer, Guitar Player, Keyboard Player and Percussionist. It also features An Amp/Cab modeling processor which I'm not really into but, You Do You!
Hudson
On Stage I use an Ampeg Pro 4 Head with Two (2) SWR Goliath III Cabinets feeding a Dry Signal to The House through an XLR Output located on the back of the Amp.
The Ryder
My Personal setup is My Crescent Moon Signature 5 w/ Ampeg 4 Pro Head & Epifani 4x10UL or 2x10UL Cabinet. This is the Rig I use on ALL of my Gigs unless its a very small gig. For those small gigs I have JR. listed below.......
Alright, Ya'll talked me into it.......
My secret weapon. This is My Solo/Lead Bass. I use this bass strictly for Solo and Lead Bass work because lets face it, Its really not designed for bass work. The strings go Higher (not lower) which defies the purpose of a Real Bass. Bass was ment for the low end and This baby flys amoung the clouds. This is My Conklin 7 String Bass (Bill Dickens) Model of course. This is a great bass for the money if your doing Solo work and don't want to pay $5000-$10,000 for a nice 7 String bass. It has gotten the job done on many shows infront of thousands of folks and everyone who picks this baby up loves the playability and the tone. I still find it a bit hard to get through a 4 hour show with it but when I pick it up to play lead parts and Solo's, I forget how heavy it is.
I like Conklins Basses so much that I'm going to have them design the Hudson 7 for me as soon as I can settle down and spend time with the concept. It will be different form every other 7 string bass on the planet. If you follow, then you know me and I play a lot of my own instruments or at lease exotic style basses that not a lot of people play. I have alot more to say about this wonderful bass but, I'm getting sleepy. I edit my website @ 3:00am because I just can't sleep at night due to my horrendous Gig schedule, so even the nights I don't have shows or travel, I still can't sleep before 3:30am and its about that time right..........N.........0..........w......
